Saevus magazine, the country’s foremost nature and wildlife magazine, in association with Rotary Clubs across the country brings the SAEVUS ECO ACHIEVERS QUIZ, Powered by Skybags and Hemchand Mahindra Foundation as conservation partner. Teams of three comprising students from standards 5th, 6th and 7th standards will be taking part in the quiz championing the cause of the natural world!
The Eco-Achievers Quiz is a hugely successful and the first of its kind programme run by Saevus magazine celebrating its vision of ‘conservation through appreciation’ with an aim to develop a strong environmental consciousness among schoolchildren. The theme of the quiz is “Juxta” whereby the students are questioned about nature and wildlife related topics from all walks of life like literature, science, movies, mythology etc.
The quiz is being organized in association with Rotary Clubs in 40 plus cities in the country between September and January. City rounds will be conducted from August to December. The winners from these city rounds will be pitted against each other in the national finale to be held in Feb 2019. The winner, first runner-up and second runner-up teams from each of the city rounds will be given trophies, certificates and backpacks from Skybags. Winners in the national finale will be winning cash prizes from Skybags besides many other goodies.

General Information |
- There is no participation fee for the programme.
- Each school can send in three teams. This team will consist of one student each from standards V, VI and VII respectively.
- All teams from one school has to be accompanied by one teacher.
- Travel arrangements to and from the venue has to be done by schools.
- Parents and fellow students are welcome to watch the quiz. However, schools are requested to check with the local organizers regarding the availability of seating space.
- The quiz master's decision will be final and cannot be contested.
- Prizes will be distributed during the final felicitation programme after the quiz is completed.
- Images for the quiz can be downloaded from EcoAchievers website(EcoAchievers.in) two weeks after the quiz has been conducted.

City Rounds : 40
- In all major cities for 2019-2020 season 40-50 schools participate from each city and the Winner and Runner-up teams qualify for the National Round
National Round: 1
- To be held in one of the Metropolitan city.
Each school sends one team of 3 students from Middle school.
The quiz will have two rounds.
Round 1: Elimination Round of 30 Minutes consisting of Yes/No Questions
Round 2: On stage round:
- Buzzer, Audio-visual, Rapid fire based on the Core Theme of Nature , Wildlife, Environment & Conservation
- Questions merged with more popular subjects like Sports, Movies, Literature, Music: “Juxta” theme

RAJIV D’SILVA

Rajiv D'Silva is an architect who lives and works in Goa. He has won competitive quizzes all over the country, prominent among them being the Tata Crucible National Finals in 2010 and the Karnataka Quiz Association Open Sesame Quiz in 2011. He is a co-founder of Goa’s Sunday Evening Quiz Club and has served as quizmaster for more than 200 quizzes, including the annual Navhind Times School Quiz, the Goa Management Association BizQuiz, the Times of India College Quiz, the Backwaters Quiz at IIM-Kozhikode, the Quark Open Quiz at BITS-Goa and the Oasis Quiz at BITS-Pilani. He is also the Hon. Secretary of the Goa Bird Conservation Network. |

Bhavna Menon graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Arts from Delhi and later moved to Mumbai to pursue her post-graduate studies in Journalism. She is currently employed with Last Wilderness Foundation, an NGO working towards wildlife conservation. |

AISHWARYA SHRIDHAR
|
Writer, poet, amateur wildlife photographer & filmmaker and passionate conservationist, Aishwarya is a 22-year-old mass media graduate. She has been awarded the Sanctuary Asia's Young Naturalist Award and is the youngest girl to receive it. Recently was awarded, the International Camera Fair Award for the Youngest Female Photographer in Nature And Conservation Photography. Her articles, poems and images have been published in the Sanctuary Asia, BBC Wildlife, Saevus, Guardian and other magazines. She won the Young Digital Camera Photographer of the Year 2018-in the ''It’s a Small World'' Category and her image was showcased at The Photography Show at NEC, Birmingham, early March 2018. A promotional short she had directed titled ''Jewel of Vidarbha'' was a finalist at the 14th Pune International Film Festival in the MTDC section.
Her first documentary ''Panje-The Last Wetland'' was aired on DD National and was nominated for the Best Documentary at the 9th Jagran Film Festival 2018. |
