Overview
• Saevus Eco Achievers Olympiad for 2021-22 will be launched on May 15th2021.
• The Olympiad will be conducted online.
• The test can be taken on a laptop/desktop or a mobile phone.
• Registrations will be open till July 31st2021.
• Registration charges including e-format study material will all inclusive INR 150/-
• On registering, each candidate will receive a unique Ticket number which has to be used for all communication.
• Each candidate is allowed upto three attempts on payment of fees as below:
> First attempt: INR 150 (Includes Reference material)
> Second attempt: INR 75 plus GST
> Third attempt: INR 75 plus GST
• Each candidate can register for one, two or three attempts and pay accordingly. Best score out of the three attempts will be considered for the ranking of the student.
• Candidate has to decide on number of attempts at the time of registration itself. Additional attempts will not be permitted at a later date.
• Students of Standards III to X studying in any accredited school in India (Any Board) will be eligible to participate.
• The Olympiad will be held standard-wise.
• Students can take the tests as per schedule given below:
Examination dates are as below:
First Attempt: August 13 to August 15
Second Attempt: August 21stand August 22nd
Third Attempt: August 28thand August 29th
Candidates can take the exam on any one the dates between 8 am and 8 pm.
• Family members of Saevus employees / Saevus associates cannot take part in the Olympiad examination.
Taking the test
• The test is compatible on Google Chrome browser for laptop/desktop and Android/iOS mobile.
• Candidate needs to have a reliable internet connection and power backup when completing the test.
• Web-Cam/ Mobile camera facility is mandatory to take the test and must be enabled for the entire duration of the test.
• Proctoring will be used for monitoring of the candidates during the test and to ensure that no cheating/unfair practices are adopted by the candidate.
Format of the test
• The Olympiad will have a single round.
• The topics will cover wildlife and natural history like flora, fauna, terra, aqua along with mental ability and logical reasoning.
• The test will entail 50 MCQs, which for every test will be a randomised selection from a question bank.
• Test duration will be 45 minutes.
• Each question will carry 3 marks for a correct answer.
• There will be negative marking and 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.
• If a question is left un-attempted, it will be awarded 0 marks.
Participation certificate
• Participation certificates (E-format) will be sent across to their registered Email ID once the candidate completes all attempts at taking the test.
Declaring winners
• Standard-wise winners based on a ranking system will be declared.
• In the case of a tie of scores between two or more candidates, the following sequence will be followed:
-The candidate completing the test faster will be given a higher rank.
-In case of a tie in scores and timing, the candidate with lesser number of wrong questions (negative marking) will be given a higher rank.
-In case of a tie in all of the above, there will be an online personal interview to break the tie.
-In case the management feels the need, personal interviews may be conducted before declaration of ranks. These will be held publically.
Prizes
Following certificates and prizes will be awarded:
> E-Certificates (To be sent by mail)
> Participation certificate for every candidate
> National Top 10 certificate for Ranks 4 to 10 (Standard-wise)
> National Second Runner up certificate for Rank 3(Standard-wise)
> National First Runner up certificate for Rank 2(Standard-wise)
> National Winner certificate for Rank 1(Standard-wise)
> Gold certificate for candidates scoring 80 percentiles or above
(Score of best attempt, given Standard-wise)
> Silver certificate for candidates scoring 70 percentiles or above
(Score of best attempt, given Standard-wise)
> Bronze certificate for candidates scoring 60 percentiles or above
(Score of best attempt, given Standard-wise)
> Cash prizes and Book prizes will also be given for commendable performances.
